A little break

To get my creative juices flowing again.

After I finished my last commission, a few weeks ago, I decided to take a little break from using my colored pencils. As much fun and challenging as custom work is, it can be a creativity killer sometimes. So I spent the last couple of weeks just using my brushes with watercolor and oil paints. Just for fun, painting what I felt like that day. Here are a few paintings I did:

Plumeria 12 - 5x7" - Watercolor - SOLD

Plumeria 13 - 8x10" - Watercolor - SOLD

Daffodil - 5x7" - Inktense Pencils - FOR SALE

Hydrangea - 5x7" - Watercolor Pencils - FOR SALE

Waterscape 1 - 4x6" - Watercolor - FOR SALE

I also finally finished this little one:

 Cherry 2 - 3x5" - Oil - FOR SALE

And got to work on this one too:

Hibiscus - Oil - For sale soon...

~ Painting #20 ~

I'm so happy I finally finished this little oil painting I started a couple of weeks ago. I'm hoping to finish another painting tomorrow. A big thank you to photographer Inge Dagmar Manders. You might recognize this same flower as painting #2, in watercolor.
Ten more paintings until the end of the challenge!

As always, I will post a nicer photo when this painting is dry.
